Whale Watching Tours in the San Juan Islands

Our whale sighting guarantee:  We see whales on over 90 percent of our whale watch tours.  If you don't see whales on your whale watching/wildlife trip with us, then your next trip with us is free of charge.

Experience the thrill of seeing orca whales, California and Steller sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, Dalls and harbor porpoise, gray whales (during the spring), bald eagles, pigeon guillemots, sea gulls, black oyster catchers and great blue heron in their natural habitat.

During the warmer months, May through September, three pods (families) of orcas make the waters surrounding the San Juan Islands their home.  The Southern Resident Community (J, K & L Pods) have been coming to the San Juan Islands for thousands of years because of the nutrient rich seas which draw salmon, making it a perfect feeding and breeding ground for the orcas.  There are currently roughly 80 orcas and each spring brings new calves to the pods.

Join our 3.5 to 4 hour whale watch / wildlife cruise for a fun, scenic and informative journey through the sunny San Juan Islands of Washington State.  Cruise throughout these Pacific Northwest islands in comfort aboard the Odyssey. Once we near the area of the whales, we will drop our hydrophone into the water so that you can listen to the orcas communicating to one another.  This special moment is one that you will remember for a lifetime!

Our USCG licensed captain and 2 certified marine naturalists provide an informative and entertaining voyage aboard the quiet, spacious, stable and comfortable, classic motor yacht, “Odyssey”.
